If you want to build your own mobile app completely from scratch without using the Pirl front end, you can build your own mobile app and publish it on the istore and playstore. You can connect the app through REST APIs to the Pirl platform by using the REST API nodes
Pirl platform is divided into a developer studio (called as Application Development Kit or ADK) and a Run Time Engine (RTE). Both the ADK and RTE are web based. The RTE can be deployed independently of the ADK.
Industry standard web based scalability mechanisms can be utilized to scale the ADK and RTE separately (like utilization of 4 tier architecture like load balancer, app servers, DB cache servers and storage layer)
The application can be designed such that all the curated final output tables can be replicated across multiple database caches so that heavy duty read applications can be supported.
